Isabel Bondi

Isabel is a unique dining experience that brings the vivid nightlife of Japan to the shores of Bondi. We crafted a brand and content strategy to thoughtfully express the spirit of this unique dining experience.

Paying homage

Isabel stems from the Japanese verb ‘iru’– meaning to be in place. Isabel is just that; a place to be and a place to be present.

With a strong focus on craft, we aspired to honour perfectionism through a balance of simplicity and complexity. With careful selection of materiality we created ‘the Isabel experience’.

Space and craft

Combining the unique spirits of both Bondi and Japan, a crafted identity was build from modern typography, negative space and intriguing photography. Isabel expanded into the physical space through carefully considered finishes and interior styling.

Supporting the launch phase was a strong content strategy, seeing the brand come to life through video and print marketing content.

Being present

Recently named one of the “most instagrammable restaurants in Sydney” by Marie Claire, Isabel has successfully opened its doors to booked-out evenings and cocktail events. This new hot spot has brought the essence of Japanese dining with a contemporary feeling that can only be captured by the seaside in Bondi.
